Discus fish aquarium

A "Discus Fish Aquarium" is one of the most beautiful fish you might want to keep. These wonderful little creatures are great pets to keep in an aquarium. Beauty comes with a price however. Discus are very capricious creature. They are not like fish you see Wally world in a special major retail chain. Discus require special attention to keep them healthy. So if you do not feel intimidated. With tips, you can be on your way to marinate fish "aquarium beautiful album" aquarium.

Aquarium Fish disk – First Council

The first advice I would mention the balance of aquarium. What I mean by balance disk aquarium is about how one could maintain an aquarium. The general rule is to maintain a single discussion of fish to 10 liters of water in your warehouse can hold. Discus as a place to go to eat that guideline and save the fish crowded.

Discus fish aquarium – Second Tips

The second point I would like to share is on the tank size and shape. The first is the shape of the tank. Discus prefer a large tank. You want to get a tank that is larger than the longest. For example, if you had a tank that was 6 feet long and 18 inches deep that is better than trying to find 3 feet high and 4 meters wide. That's what I say with great taste Discus tank size. However, with that said, if I had a tank like the first one I mentioned. I'm not suggesting you run buy a new tank. These are just some guidelines to follow. However, there are gospel, you usually have at least 18 "deep tank. Personally, I I do not recommend anything less than a 35 gallon tank. This is just my personal opinion. I do not want to use anything smaller than 35 gallons, because the more the reservoir is more difficult to retain water. Furthermore, I maintain more than 3 fish.

Aquarium Fish disk – Third Council

The third tip I will share with you more about feeds. Discus are creatures of habit. After you drive to your new home, be sure to ask the breeder or keeper of such fish food they ate fish. Although Discus requires no special diet n love their food must be changed abruptly. By trying to feed a different food. Food again food in small doses. Do this for several weeks, the dose increase. This will keep your stress level fresh fish meal for change.

Aquarius Fish disk – Fourth Council

The point of this fourth installment is one of the most important tips you need to know. That's about water quality. Keep water chemistry is stable and essential own! You have to keep the water themselves, making changes if necessary.

Let me further details on chemical composition. Temperature of clean water for the discussion is between 82 and 86 degrees F. It is also necessary to test the hardness. The water should be soft, 3 to 15dH. The pH level is the following important factor. This question must be between 5 and 6.5.

HP is probably the most important factor for farmers in the Most fish have some difficulties. Discus PH not jeopardize these factors. Survive in other pH conditions, however, make no mistake in doing so. Fish can live and even reproduce. The problem is that always stood out and their life expectancy will be compromised. The key is to always test your water conditions and make changes gradually if necessary. When radical changes are made in this chemistry is more harm than good to the fish causing a great deal of stress.

Before you decide to use sand in the new fish tank, you need to learn more about it.

Why choose the sand?

Well, the sand is excellent for live plants. It is very well rooted in him. The sand does not move as gravel and plants will not come loose.

Some fish – such as eels – love to complain, when the sand is a good choice if you like fish it is. The sand can make a tropical look of your aquarium.

Start with different types of sand, you can choose between:

Play Sand
Many people use play sand or silver sand, a fine white sand used in gardening. Play sand is cheap. However, it could create an overgrowth of algae in the tank.

Silica
This we know that the pool filter sand. Some people say it is better in principle. This is one I recommend.

Aquarium sand
This is typically silica sand that may be artificially colored. Aquarium sand is a bit thicker than the silver sand, but it costs more expensive.

Marine sand
Marine sand is usually composed of shells, crushed coral or crushed, and this type of substrate will change the pH of your aquarium, and is not recommended for most tropical fish. However, the sand is suitable for marine fish require a high pH, such as African cichlids. No configurations used for freshwater!

Beach
The sand, which can be found freely on the beach, contains a wealth salt on the computer and it is almost impossible to completely clean. You can use beach sand introduced marine UPS, but remember that many beaches are polluted in some way and that could eventually be very damaging to your aquarium. So unless you can get a beach in the middle of the ocean, I would not recommend not.

Do not use never build sand in your aquarium, as you may have added chemicals to help create mortars.

All that the use of sand, make sure read the labels for added chemicals. A little sand brand sold in department stores for home improvements is completely sterile and inert.

How does the sand do I need?

If you have live plants, I cover the bottom with a minimum depth of 1 "and a maximum 1.5 "of sand. If you do not have live plants 1" or less, will be perfect. If you put more than 1.5 can cause bacteria to accumulate in anaerobic pockets and create toxic gases such as methane and high levels of CO2, which could be fatal to aquatic life. To avoid this, mix the sand a few times a week. You Use your fingers or gently with something very thin, in search of the roots of plants. You can always add a few creatures to keep your sand Free food uneaten. You can have as scavengers of sea cucumber

What type of filter you need?

Group A certainly not unified. In Just a few days, the filter becomes useless. A filter cartridge is secure, as the input filter is at least 1 "above the sand. In any case, should use a filter very well, maybe stronger than prescribed by your ability to tank, at least 3 times the power.

You must deactivate the filter in the tank when you start using the sand. It always starts very cloudy and must be given time to settle.

Note that the sand can be a little difficult to clean. Always keep siphon at least one inch into the sand. Once you get the hang of it, should be easy, since the debris is not buried in the sand as it does in the gravel. Without But from the rubble is buried, is much more visible, but with the proper configuration of filters and pumps or heads of power may be all the waste is pushed from behind a rock or behind a corner.

Once you get your arena, be sure to rinse until the water appears clear.

Moreover, do a study to decide which fish survive with a substrate of sand and not doing so well. Sand can be used in a little salt and freshwater tanks. Do not use sand with goldfish, for example, simply because it is downloaded snacks for food, and obviously this is not good for them.

A little sand, like beach sand, you can change pH in water, so be sure to change your not specifically be harmful to fish than to keep. You can simply crushed coral in a tank of cichlids African coral sand because the natural pH increase freshwater African cichlids and really like it.

Establishment of a new sand tank is easy if you follow the precautions on the filter, diverting art and learn about the type of fish you want. It is also possible to convert from gravel to sand in an already established tank, only slightly more complicated because it must have plants, decorations and fish do, but once completed, the tank so beautiful, you forget all about the work hard.

So with the sand, if desired, and enjoy!

The Blue Gourami, sometimes also called the 3 Spot Gourami is an aquarium of freshwater tropical fish popular. These fish are usually a pale blue and have three points, one on the base of the tail, one in the middle of the body and the eye that resembles the third. The type of gourami fish itself comes in various colors, blue is often seen in shops pet, gold and opal, and some new varieties. These fish can grow very large and more suitable for large aquariums.

The Blue Gourami fish is a relatively easy to maintain and there is good food flakes floating fish feed, probably most of the others in your tank. However, like most creatures, these fish do not need a little variety and it's good to put some freeze dried blood worms or brine shrimp frozen in time time, just to make sure they are all the essential nutrients they need.

If you buy a gourami fish are much smaller than it might be able to start in a small aquarium, but finally have to get a 50 gallon or larger than the fish grows. This species can grow quite large and want to be sure that you find convenient. Also make sure that is a hot property in the vessel, because, like many tropical freshwater fish require water temperature is between 70 and 82 ° F. Other conditions A tank a pH of 6.0 to 8.8 and a hardness of 5-35 dGH.

Since these fish are used to the thick vegetation water are in their native tropical waters of the Far East the Gourami will feel at home if you have many plants in your aquarium. They agree with other types of fish, but make sure you have plenty of Gourami and type of preference in the tank to prevent plotting against other fish. It is preferable to have at least 4 Gouramis in the tank and even better if you can get a mix of blues, variety gold and opal. In general, they want to stick to having one man and the tank, which can be territorial.

The Blue Gourami enjoys the company of other varieties of Gourami. You can keep the gold, blue, and opaline gourami together peacefully in the same aquarium. Interestingly, if the tank has a single variety of gourami with other species of fish, gourami League against other fish. When you have a mixture of gourami in the tank, among other species of fish, the Gourami tend to focus on their own type and leave the fish alone. We recommend you have at least four Gourami in your tank with a mixture of varieties.

The gourami may occur in the tank with other fish of the same size and can live in peace with barbs, clown loaches, Bala sharks, danios, Rainbow shark, red tail sharks and rainbows.

Be careful if the conditions of their Gouramis and provide tank itself, can live up to four years and grow to be 4 inches long.
