How do you pronounce Celtic?

My friend loves this band called Celtic Thunder, but his name pronounced Keltic thunder. I pronounce this SELTIC. This has been an ongoing argument over the years. She said she bet $ 20 that is properly pronounced Keltic, and before I bet you want to be sure I have reason. Is it or SELTIC Keltic?

I also said Seltik not seem so all fans of Boston Celtics basketball. The 1933 edition of Funk & Wagnells standard dictionary of the English language shows the two pronunciations (Seltik and Keltika) as correct. Was in the days before political correctness came and insisted that "Keltika" was only the correct pronunciation. I really did not come until the 1980s. The word comes from "Keltoi" a name that the ancient Greeks to settlers Massilia (now Marseille) used for this ancient Gauls who is now modern France. The Gauls spoke a language which is closely linked to Breton, Welsh, Irish and Scottish Gaelic language linguists now call "Celtic." However, since the word came into English to Celta through French, to "Sail-Teek," I no doubt why people can not say "Seltik too. For me, the people that say" Keltika "trying to be his pseudo-sophisticated or politically correct and what are the two reasons why it does not say that. Hope that helps.
