Does anyone know about the treatment of Whitespot in tropical fish?

I have tried to interpret my tropical fish spot treatment white I noticed my clown loach disease that had followed the instructions in the book which says that the first dose and again as to address four days later I did, but do not seem to have worked and processing instructions did not mention what to do if it fails the first time you any advice is appreciated

The increase temperatures, changing the product, add a little salt on the fish store. Clown loaches have no scales and therefore very sensitive to ICH could die if not acts quickly.

Before you decide to use sand in the new fish tank, you need to learn more about it.

Why choose the sand?

Well, the sand is excellent for live plants. It is very well rooted in him. The sand does not move as gravel and plants will not come loose.

Some fish – such as eels – love to complain, when the sand is a good choice if you like fish it is. The sand can make a tropical look of your aquarium.

Start with different types of sand, you can choose between:

Play Sand
Many people use play sand or silver sand, a fine white sand used in gardening. Play sand is cheap. However, it could create an overgrowth of algae in the tank.

Silica
This we know that the pool filter sand. Some people say it is better in principle. This is one I recommend.

Aquarium sand
This is typically silica sand that may be artificially colored. Aquarium sand is a bit thicker than the silver sand, but it costs more expensive.

Marine sand
Marine sand is usually composed of shells, crushed coral or crushed, and this type of substrate will change the pH of your aquarium, and is not recommended for most tropical fish. However, the sand is suitable for marine fish require a high pH, such as African cichlids. No configurations used for freshwater!

Beach
The sand, which can be found freely on the beach, contains a wealth salt on the computer and it is almost impossible to completely clean. You can use beach sand introduced marine UPS, but remember that many beaches are polluted in some way and that could eventually be very damaging to your aquarium. So unless you can get a beach in the middle of the ocean, I would not recommend not.

Do not use never build sand in your aquarium, as you may have added chemicals to help create mortars.

All that the use of sand, make sure read the labels for added chemicals. A little sand brand sold in department stores for home improvements is completely sterile and inert.

How does the sand do I need?

If you have live plants, I cover the bottom with a minimum depth of 1 "and a maximum 1.5 "of sand. If you do not have live plants 1" or less, will be perfect. If you put more than 1.5 can cause bacteria to accumulate in anaerobic pockets and create toxic gases such as methane and high levels of CO2, which could be fatal to aquatic life. To avoid this, mix the sand a few times a week. You Use your fingers or gently with something very thin, in search of the roots of plants. You can always add a few creatures to keep your sand Free food uneaten. You can have as scavengers of sea cucumber

What type of filter you need?

Group A certainly not unified. In Just a few days, the filter becomes useless. A filter cartridge is secure, as the input filter is at least 1 "above the sand. In any case, should use a filter very well, maybe stronger than prescribed by your ability to tank, at least 3 times the power.

You must deactivate the filter in the tank when you start using the sand. It always starts very cloudy and must be given time to settle.

Note that the sand can be a little difficult to clean. Always keep siphon at least one inch into the sand. Once you get the hang of it, should be easy, since the debris is not buried in the sand as it does in the gravel. Without But from the rubble is buried, is much more visible, but with the proper configuration of filters and pumps or heads of power may be all the waste is pushed from behind a rock or behind a corner.

Once you get your arena, be sure to rinse until the water appears clear.

Moreover, do a study to decide which fish survive with a substrate of sand and not doing so well. Sand can be used in a little salt and freshwater tanks. Do not use sand with goldfish, for example, simply because it is downloaded snacks for food, and obviously this is not good for them.

A little sand, like beach sand, you can change pH in water, so be sure to change your not specifically be harmful to fish than to keep. You can simply crushed coral in a tank of cichlids African coral sand because the natural pH increase freshwater African cichlids and really like it.

Establishment of a new sand tank is easy if you follow the precautions on the filter, diverting art and learn about the type of fish you want. It is also possible to convert from gravel to sand in an already established tank, only slightly more complicated because it must have plants, decorations and fish do, but once completed, the tank so beautiful, you forget all about the work hard.

So with the sand, if desired, and enjoy!

YouÂ've then decide what to buy aquarium, and it was purchased and placed in a prominent place in your house, what next? Before you rush to buy fish tropical freshwater, you need to make sure you have all the necessary equipment. In a least you need a lid for the aquarium, lighting, heating and filtration system. It is very important to buy the right size for your aquarium.

For example, the lighting should be sufficient to illuminate the world of the aquarium, even the filter must be able to cope with the amount of water you have, or will not work for optimum efficiency. Buying a water heater that works hard to keep your aquarium at the May suitable temperature less expensive, but ultimately a false economy since early break. If you have questions about what to buy to go with your tank, consult a reputable dealer water.

Now need to decorate your aquarium. For this you need gravel, and I mean special gravel buy from a distributor of quality water is important. You also need a lot of it, because you need to cover the bottom of the aquarium of at least 2-3 inches (5-7.5cm). This will plant the root correctly, and if you have a sub-gravel filtration, have this property to cover the filter.

To complete decoration have some plants, whether real or artificial, and you may want to consider some Bogwood, which is attractive in an aquarium, and was treated as is appropriate. Do not add any coral or shells, which can injure the fish, and can also change the balance of water, and be strong and can harm fish. Marine Dealer also sell other artificial decorations may want to purchase. Make sure that you give your fish some hiding places.

Then, buy a mosquito net a cube, a gravel cleaner and glass cleaner are essential tools of trade, and will be used often. I also recommend buying from a tap water electrolyser can be great for people but not made for tropical fish. All chemicals that are released are not good for freshwater tropical fish, so water should be left to stand for a couple of days, and subjected to high ventilation, or have an aggregate electrolyzer.

Finally, the purchase of food fish human, so when you bring your new home of tropical freshwater fish that has something to feed them.
